Way before I ever tried it, I used to be amazed at sculpture. Then I took a sculpture class at Mesa Community College, with Jane Kelsey-Maple, and figured out that it's good observation and hard work.  Marion FitzWalter, the first image, was my second sculpture.  I've yet to try it in stone, though I have a bunch of marble outside just waiting for me to stare at it for hours before I start chipping away, as Jed Clampett would say, "...all the pieces that don't look like Granny!"
